If you do not like the strong taste of onion, you can use cabbage in the recipe for the same taste and good recipe.
If your rice is scorched or burned you can take that taste out of your rice easily by using a piece of bread. Just lay a piece of bread on the rice (in a fresh pan or bowl) and cover it for a few minutes. The bread will soak up the burnt smell and taste and your rice will be fresh tasting for supper. If your rice has been sitting a few minutes you can put it in the microwave for a minute with a slice of bread for the same results.
